New 2022 Cadillac XT4 Changes, Release Date, Engine
New 2022 Cadillac XT4 Changes, Release Date, Engine – Although Cadillac was in limbo for the past decade, a new era has begun with the 2022 Cadillac XT4 as a unique entry point to its range. Cadillac had to get rid of its old-fashioned image for many years. However, it did so with more brilliant styling, better interior quality, and better packaging. The redesign of GM’s Alpha II platform is worth special mention. It has arguably made Caddy’s sedan range more fun and exciting.
Although the CT4 is a strange size, it does not replace the ATS. Instead, it now fits within a range of vehicle classifications. The CT4 is more significant than smaller subcompacts such as the Mercedes-Benz CLA-Class or BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe, but smaller than smaller sedans such as the BMW 3 Series or Mercedes C-Class. Its rear-wheel and all-wheel drivetrains give it a dynamic edge over smaller competitors, while the price gives it an advantage over larger rivals. The CT4 is equipped with a turbocharged 4-pot of 237 horsepower or a larger, 2.7L unit that can produce 310 horsepower. It seems to be aiming at the German establishment from multiple angles.
2022 Cadillac XT4 Redesign
Exterior Design
The 2022 Cadillac XT4 SUV design language is extremely well suited for the sedan body. Its signature vertical daytime running lamps and slim headlights will make it look like nothing else. Sport trim gives it an aggressive look. The long, broad stance creates a sense of sportiness. Even though the rear is a little more extravagant, it’s still beautiful. These horizontal lines running the length of the car are well complemented by the integrated spoiler.

Exterior lighting is all LED. However, automatic headlights can only be equipped with the top two trims. Standard Luxury model is 17-inch wheels, while Premium Luxury and Sport models have 18-inch alloys with specific designs. The Sport features blacked-out rocker panels along the side sills, an aluminum rear spoiler that matches the body, black elements, and a custom front bumper with mesh grille inserts. The Diamond Sky Special Edition, available in the summer of 2022, adds 18-inch wheels to the Premium Luxury, a sports body kit, and blue brake calipers.
Interior Design
Cadillac claims that the interior of the 2022 Cadillac XT4 interior will be driver-oriented and large enough to accommodate five people. However, although the Cadillac CT4 exterior dimensions seem more significant than the 3 Series, the interior is smaller than the 2 Series Gran Coupe. This means that rear space is compromised.

The design is a significant step up for Cadillac. The eight-inch touchscreen at the top of the center console is the most notable internal feature. Standard features include standard leatherette upholstery and LED interior lighting with stealth mode. The CT4’s interior design is very BMW-like. It is easy to see where Caddy got his inspiration, which we don’t consider negatively.
2022 Cadillac XT4 Engine
The standard 2.0-liter engine is a strong performer across the entire range. The produces 237 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque from 1,500 rpm. The latter can be revved up to 6,000 rpm. The standard eight-speed manual transmission is also a delight, slipping through gears with almost imperceptible changes.
As a result, it is straightforward to get up to highway speeds, and it is easy for you to overtake. Although we’d love to have this engine as the only option, modern Caddy’s are made for enthusiasts.

Premium Luxury models only have the turbocharged 2.7-liter turbocharged engine. It produces 310 horsepower/350 lb-ft and is paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox. Peak torque can also be found at 1,500 rpm, making it easy to perform low- or high-speed overtaking maneuvers. The 2022 Cadillac XT4 is noticeably faster from 0-60 mph, thanks to this engine.
The ten-speed’s more comprehensive range of gear ratios makes it feel faster but doesn’t dramatically affect fuel consumption. It can sometimes get clumsy with all the available ratios. Sport mode is a great option, but it tends to lose the gears more often. This mode is too fast to be used daily.
2022 Cadillac XT4 Release Date And Price
The base Luxury variant of the 2022 Cadillac XT4 has an MSRP of $33,395. It’s an essential step to the Premium Luxury model, with its 2.0-liter turbocharged Engine retails at $37,595. Premium Luxury trim only offers the 2.7-liter turbocharged engine. This increases the Cadillac CT4’s price to $41,495. The Sport model, which retails for $38,695, is the last trim level. It is slightly more expensive than Premium Luxury with its 2.0-liter engine. The Premium Luxury and Sport trims add $2,600, $3,200, and the Premium Luxury adds $3,200 to the price. However, the All-wheel Drive adds the Climate Package as standard. These prices do not include Cadillac’s $1,195 destination fee.
